Happy Memorial Day, Everyone! We’ve spent the long weekend enjoying the great outdoors. Sally’s been a champ traveler this time around, even if she has slept in our hotel bed and kicked Johnny in the face a few times. I thought I’d share some pictures from our adventures so far. We’ll be spending today grilling out (as my Southern self calls it) and introducing Sally to the swimming pool. Yippee!

Very cute pictures! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Thanks, Amanda!
Cute! You might consider investing in a blow up twin mattress. They are inexpensive, can be bought at Target or Walmart. We use it only when we travel and deflate immediately when the kids wake up. So it doesn’t pop as easily. It wraps up pretty small too.
That way, you get your own bed. She thinks her bed is fun and sleeps in it. It’s close to the ground so you don’t have to worry about her falling out of bed.
Have fun!
Oooh, good idea, Shay! Thanks for the awesome tip!
We got a cot that folds together similar to those bag chairs. Ours was a hand me down, but they were like under $20 on sale. Life changing.
Happy Memorial Day, guys!
Here in Canada we don’t celebrate your holiday today but instead last Monday we celebrated Victoria Day. Lots to do outside, what with the great weather that we’re having these days – a welcome relief from our long cold winter just passed.
Adorable pics of you three (who took those pics?) Now all you have to do is teach Sal how to take a pic of her mommy and daddy! 🙂
Thanks, Rob! Sally already takes lots of selfies with my phone, inadvertently. If we could just teach her to harness her skills to take pictures of us. Someday!!
Enjoy the long weekend 🙂
Sally is getting to be such a little girl – the hair in pigtails is super cute.
I’m really looking forward to when my long weekends actually get to be mini-holidays, not just days when I’m scrambling to finish assignments for my post-grad degree. Every long weekend for the last 2 years I’ve either had an assignment due on the day off or the next day, or I’ve had an exam in the 2 days following the day off… not my definition of the ideal way to spend a holiday weekend…
I remember feeling that way when Johnny and I were in school! You’ll be done before you know it, and you’ll know better than anyone how to take advantage of those long weekends when they come!
Great family pictures- I enjoy watching Sally grow. You will never regret putting vacations into your budget.
Thanks, Melinda! Agreed… I’ve never once thought, “Man, we shouldn’t have taken that vacation!” 🙂
These are great photos! Always wanted to take a trip to the Grand Canyon!
Thanks, Dave!
