HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We didn’t do much partying last night. But our cat Persie sure did. And boy is she feeling it today.
We’ve got a good feeling about this year. Here’s to making 2013 bigger, better, and more financially awesomeface than every year before it.

Thanks, Rob!
Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
Happy New Year Johnny and Joanna! I hope you have an awesome year and good luck with the baby whenever the time comes.
Thanks, Grayson!
Happy New Year to you and your family as well! We’re excited to join you in having a newborn of our own very soon!!
We had some mates over that’s about it but it was a great night!! Happy New Year mate! Mr.CBB
Happy New Year to you, too, Mr. CBB!
Happy New Year to you two as well! Funny pic of your cat. We have a TWENTY year old cat! Let’s just say my wife is turning 24 this year so you can do the math as to how young she was when she got it….still sprints to the kitchen in the morning when she is about to get her wet food.
Wow! 20 years is quite a feat for a cat. Ours is only 2, so I’m sure our kids will grow up with her! And good to know the excitement for wet food doesn’t die down even with old age 🙂
We stayed at home (in Trinidad) and watched the fireworks from the rooftop for New Years Eve. Love the pic of your cat, her tummy looks so inviting to rub! I wish you both an amazing and successful 2013!
Thanks!
And yes, that tummy is deceptively inviting. But it’s a trap! I learned the hard way that it is off limits 🙂
Cute kitty! Happy New Year!
Thanks! Hope the first two days of 2013 have treated you right!
For some reason I cannot leave a comment on your Personal Finance Apps write-up, but I want you to know that I bought Accounts 2 Checkbook based on what you said:
“automatically tracks your expenditures from your credit cards, bank accounts, etc.”
It DOES NOT do this! You cannot link this app with your bank accounts, it is a very manual process which is not what I want to spend my time doing. And now I’m out even more money for trying more of these apps!
Sorry, Kailene. Based on our own personal walkthrough of the app, that’s how we understood it to work. As we update that post for 2014, we’ll make note of that.
If you’re not already familiar with Mint.com, that seems like it would be a great option for you. Free, links accounts, syncs across devices.
Hi, I’ve been searching for a checkbook register app that will sync with my bank so I can see the entries automatically instead of manually typing them in. Any ideas?
Have you tried Mint.com? For automated entries, that’s our go-to tool.
