Happy Friday, All! I’m not even sure what I did this week, but I know I kept plenty busy. And that I had a very busy little sidekick by my side almost every waking moment. As of this week, I think Sally has thrown every single one of her toys down our stairs. And I’m certain that she’s emptied a Costco-sized bag of raisins onto our living room carpet, which I cleaned up before Johnny ever knew about it. I wrote about being a SAHM on DailyFinance this week, so here’s that article and some other recent articles we’ve written over there:
- How I Decided to Quit My Job to Be a Stay-at-Home Mom
- Juicy Money Confessions: What People Admit on ‘Secret’ App
- How Our Family of 3 Will Fly Free for the Next 2 Years
We also answered a few questions for the good folks over at Mint.com, so check that out right here.
Johnny just found out that he needs to travel to NYC for business next week… and I’m tagging along! We haven’t been back to the Big Apple since we moved away at the end of 2011. I’m excited to revisit some of our favorite places and to have a getaway with Johnny. He’ll also celebrate a birthday while we’re there, so I’m glad we’ll be together for his big day. It will be our first time leaving Sally for more than a day, and I don’t think I’ll know what to do with myself!
Anyway, I’ll be posting pictures from my time in NYC on Instagram, so if you want to see what we’re up to, you can follow my Instagram here. Since I’m already sharing a million photos of Sally on this site, I figured I’d open the flood gates and share my Instagram account. I’d love to connect with y’all!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Followed you on Instagram @r4turner 🙂
Have an awesome baby-free time in NYC, it’s on my list of places to visit, when I finally get to travel some more.
Awesome! Thanks, Rachel!
That is one incredibly cute kid!
Safe travels and have a great time while in NYC!
Thanks!! 🙂
Enjoy your trip to NYC! June is the best month to visit IMO.
It was dreamy! I love this time of year in NYC and October!
Hope you guys have fun on your trip!
Thanks, Miranda! It was great!
Yes, toddlers are great at destroying houses! Liked the southwest article! Next
Time I get sent that offer may do it because my brother lives in Texas and that would be a great way to be able to visit without really
Even spending in any money outside of budget.
The Southwest companion pass is pretty darn great. I got to fly to NYC for free! We didn’t even have to use points. I highly recommend doing it the next time it’s running!
Have a great time in NYC and try not to worry about Sally too much as I’m sure she’ll be in good hands while you’re away 🙂
Thanks, Kassandra!
I’m not an instagram user…should I be?
I think it’s a fun way to find out what’s going on in friends’ and families’ lives. Of course, it’s kind of a romanticized version, but I still think it’s fun!
