We Want to Interview You

Nope, no baby yet. Don’t know if you were even wondering, but maybe me saying that will jinx this natural process and get that baby to push the eject button. Joanna is now getting audible gasps and “good luck” whispers walking down the street, so the people of NYC are aware of our past-due status.

Regardless of when, this baby is going to happen. And if having a second child is anything like having a first child, there’s a good chance a regularly scheduled blog post or two or ten might get neglected. But have no fear because some of you recently pitched us an awesome idea for an awesome series of posts to fill in some of the gaps over the next few weeks. And guess who’ll be writing them? YOU.

We feel fortunate to have awesome people who visit our site and share their successes and failures and everything in between. Reading your stories is an incredible source of motivation for us, and we’d love them with others. So consider this an open casting call. But don’t because that sounds really formal and/or makes it sound like we’re looking for people who have Maury Povich baby mama drama… on second thought. No.

If you have a financially-motivating story to share, we want to interview you. If you have a financial mistake you learned from, we want to interview you. If you are in a financial pickle with lots of questions, we want to interview you and solicit our awesome community to help you. If you’re shy, anonymity is totally cool. Here are some ideas we’d love to interview you about:

  • I slayed my $X Debt Monster in X months!
  • Budgeting has changed my life… here’s how.
  • I screwed up and learned my lesson so you don’t have to.
  • Help — I can’t figure out how to X!
  • I’m on my way to retirement at X years old.

If any of those ring a bell, we want to hear from you. Just fill out this nifty form below (or click here), and we’ll be in touch.

We can’t wait to hear your stories and how you came to be where you are today. Now pardon us while we go research how to get labor started…

Oh man, past-due status sucks. I went 12 days over… fingers crossed for you that baby #2 makes a fast and easy appearance soon!! On the plus side, shocking strangers who ask when it’s due with the answer “last week” is pretty fun…

Thanks! I hope so, too. Johnny and I both can’t quite comprehend that I’m four days overdue already!
