We’re now two full weeks into this little blogging experiment of ours — and we’re still alive to tell about it! Like any good drug, we’re pretty hooked. How can you not be when you write a post about diapers and get eight “blowout” comment references and tons of awesome suggestions for us naive parents-to-be?
So thank you for reading, following, sharing, and caring. You’re number one.

Fave Posts
Here’s some stuff that made us smarter this week:
- Ninja at Punch Debt in the Face smacks down mortgage pre-qualification calculators and discusses realistic home costs.
- Think you’ve got enough car insurance? Jefferson at See Debt Run will slap some sense into you.
- Michelle at Making Sense of Cents talks about buying a house at age 20 (and why you should move if you live next to a psychopath).
- Pauline at Reach Financial Independence tells the story of how she helped her handyman get into debt.
- We’re all about baby stuff right now, so naturally we loved this post about J. Money’s growing baby and expenses over at Budgets Are Sexy.
- These are some great tips for those just getting started in their careers.
- And finally, here’s a guest post we put together this week over at Young Adult Money.
Have a freaking swell weekend.

Thanks for the mention! You’ve been doing great with your blog so far 🙂
Thanks for the awesome post. And thanks for the encouragement. We’ve got an awesome community of bloggers to look up to. 🙂
Thanks for the mention guys, you two are rapidly becoming one of my favorites!
And to find out that you are indie rock fans as well, awesome!.
That “Head and the Heart” song is fantastic..
Thanks, Jefferson! Glad to hear our music taste isn’t totally lost on deaf ears. 🙂
Just thought I would drop in to say Hi and happy 2 weeks. Blogging certainly was not what I know it today when I started. I’ve learned so much now it’s almost a full-time gig but lots of good fun and filled with learning. Cheers mate! Mr.CBB
We have no idea what we’re doing, but we just know we’re having a good time building (and breaking) something together. Thanks for the well wishes, Mr. & Mrs. CBB!
Blogging is like a baby, you celebrate every week, then 3-6-12 months, then the years… good luck with both, happy 2 weeks and minus 3 weeks! Thanks for the mention
That’s a nice way of looking at one’s blog. Hopefully we don’t let our baby “crash” as much as I’ve done with our blog. 😉
